I have changed the course schedule and eliminated the July 11th snafu. The link to download the new copy of the syllabus is on the right, under course-related links.
As as result of the revision, we will watch and discuss Jackie Brown on the same day - June 23rd. Since your first assignment is to conduct an in-depth analysis of the film, our short discussion will provide a primer for the paper but will be brief enough to allow you to form your own opinions about the films and traditions that influenced Tarantino's adaptation.
Another result of the scheduling change is that the presentations will begin on June 30th, instead of July 2nd. I will distribute the presentation assignments on Monday.
